I almost missed it. Last week was National Pollinator Week, sponsored by the Pollinator Partnership and the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign. The group's web site has a lot of good information. Check out the planting guides: the pdf documents contain region-specific information about pollinators and pollinator-friendly plants. Great resource!Did you know? Bumblebees are capable of buzz pollination: they can release a flower's pollen by vibrating their flight muscles.
